A large number of Massey staff do research involving microbes. This research spans pretty much the entire breadth of microbiology, including medical and veterinary microbiology, environmental microbiology biotechnology, nanotechnology, bacteriology, virology and mycology.
The slideshow on the left shows some examples. To find out more about what these scientists are working on, search for “Microbiology” in the Massey expertise database. Through links in the data base you will also be able to contact them once you are about to finish undergrad to find out if they have postgrad projects available.
Or look at some of our most recent publications in scientific journals.
AgResearch, Plant and Food and Fonterra, located across the road from Massey's Palmerston North campus, also have microbiology research projects you could get involved in as a postgrad on Massey's Turitea campus in Palmerston North.
